We just got back from our trip to Florida. Y’all, it was so much fun! The never ending winter blues hit me hard this year. I was feeling burned out, stressed out, and something had to give. In came out trip to Florida at the perfect time. It was the reset I needed.

I was determined to fit everything into a carry on for our week long trip, that included a wedding. This all thanks to a good packing list and packing cubes! I wrote a post on my packing list which you can find here.

One of my favorite parts of a good tropical vacation is the outfits! And, this trip was no different! Let’s take a look at my week in Florida and vacation outfits.

The first outfit of any trip is your travel outfit. Often forgotten but, your travel sets the vibe for the whole trip. My go-to airplane outfit is a cozy pair of leggings (these Zella leggings will forever be my favorite), a comfy t-shirt (I swear by this one, that I own in no less than 5 colors), sneakers, and a wrap. A wrap is key for staying cozy warm on the plane, and doubles as a great layer on your trip when the temps dip in the evenings. One of my travel tips is to wear your hat while traveling so it doesn’t get crushed in your bag. Side note, see my cool purple socks? Amateur hour over here. I wore a new pair of shoes for the first time and halfway through the airport I realized that if I didn’t want to start my trip with blisters, I needed socks. Which of course, I didn’t have any. The ONLY socks I could find in the airport were these purple ones! They may look ridiculous, and they were insanely expensive (hello airport prices), but they are without a doubt the softest socks I own now. But, avoid this by wearing socks.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this little two piece number I found on Amazon, but let me tell you, love! I love the lemon print, I love the fit, and I love how it gives off all sorts of vacation vibes. It’s super flattering, super comfy, and I would definitely suggest it for any tropical beach vacation. The two piece gives it a little bit of a flirty tone, but it isn’t overly revealing which made me feel comfortable in it.

This dress you guys, this dress. If I could only wear one thing for the rest of my life, it would be this dress. I can’t even tell you how many compliments I got in this dress. I had strangers in stores stalking me down to ask me about this dress. And… wait for it… it has pockets! It’s super flattering with the cinched in waist, it’s amazing quality and it made a regular day feel like a special occasion.

Y’all freaked out about this dress on Instagram stories. I don’t think I have been asked by so many people before for links on a single dress. The best part about it, it’s from Amazon and cheap! I went one size up from my regular size, which was perfect. There is some adjustment in the back with snaps as well.

This dress was the wedding guest outfit for the trip! And, it was a huge hit. We all know that Lily Pulitzer can do no wrong, and this dress is no exception. I think the only people who got more outfit compliments at the wedding were the bride and groom. It fit like a dream, and was perfect for a Florida wedding. I loved it paired with this fun statement necklace and earrings, and this clutch which screamed fun to me with the embellishments and the pom poms. It reminded me of playful handbags from the 1950’s. The shoes were one of my favorites from last year that were brought back because everyone loves them and they are at a great price point.

Can I let you in on a little secret? This cute top is actually one of the swimsuits from my Amazon Swimsuit Haul! It is such a versatile suit because not only is it an adorable swimsuit, but when you’re on vacation, it doubles as a great top when you’re heading to the beach. I loved feeling fancy at the beach, but also being able to slip into the water no problem.

Over the past couple years, Mara Hoffman has become one of my favorite clothing designers. Her use of bright colors, bold patterns, and feminine details has me swooning again and again. This dress made me feel like I was full on vacation mode! The midi length is perfect for the feel of a full length dress, but without the hassle of tripping over your own dress. I loved the nod to a corset with the lace up top. It felt so fun and I had a blast wearing it.

I loved the little bit of a retro feel with this gingham front tie dress. I read a lot of reviews on this dress, many of them saying that it fit oddly in the chest. This almost stopped me from ordering, but I decided to give it a try, and I’m so happy that I did! I didn’t find the odd fit to be the case at all. But, you have to tie the front really tight to make it fit correctly. Once I had that figured out I was exceptionally happy with this fun little number. I loved it so much I’m considering getting it in other colors too!

This is another outfit that I used a swimsuit to make an outfit! What looks like a super cute and trendy gingham bodysuit, is actually another one of my Amazon swimsuit haul finds! I paired it with some black cozy pants, and a fun hat which made me feel like I was ready for anything from drinks at a trendy bar, to lounging out by the pool!
