Flowrider Lessons

You will receive expert training from a WaterPark Flow Pro and learn to bodyboard or surf on the FlowRider®, where 50,000 gallons of water flow under you to create an ocean-like wave. Participants must be at least 42" tall to learn to bodyboard and at least 52" tall to learn to stand up.

Maximum 8 riders per lesson. Please arrive at the WaterPark 15 minutes early and ready to ride. A waiver is required to be filled out by each participant and signed by a parent for anyone under the age of 18 years. Late riders will not be admitted into the lesson. Reservations are forfeited if participants arrive late.

Participants must be at least 42" tall to ride the FlowRider. Lessons begin at 9:45 am prompt. WaterPark admission is not required. The FlowRider lesson does not include WaterPark admission.

Wanna ride stand-up style? Guests must take a lesson prior to riding. Must be 52” tall to ride stand-up and 42” tall to bodyboard.

Private Rental

$360 for 2 hours | Looking for some extra ride time for you and your friends to master the FlowRider? Don’t look any further! Rent out the FlowRider before or after hours to get a leg up on your competition. Contact either 540.437.3387 or 540.437.3342 to get all the details and reserve your ride time! A maximum of 12 riders is recommended to ensure ample time for everyone.

Are towels available?

Towels are not provided at the WaterPark, though you may bring your own. Massanutten WaterPark towels are available for purchase atMerchanDice Surf Shop.

Can I re-enter the WaterPark?

Yes, as long as you keep your wristband on, you can come and go as you please. The wrist bands are color coded for one day use only.

Are outside coolers, food or drink permitted into the WaterPark?

Unfortunately, outside coolers, food or drink are not permitted in the WaterPark building. However there are many dining options inside the WaterPark and on the Resort for your enjoyment. For more information visit ourDining section.

When are swim diapers required and are they available for purchase?

Swim diapers are required for all children who are not toilet-trained. Swim diapers are available for purchase atMerchanDice Surf Shop.

Are there height restrictions for the attractions at Massanutten WaterPark?

There are height restrictions set forth by the ride's manufacturers.

The Country Cooler, Melting Mogul, Peak Splash, Skyline Falls and Avalanche slides have a minimum height requirement of 42" tall to ride.

The PipeLine (FlowRider) has a minimum height requirement of 42" tall to ride bodyboard style and 52" tall to ride stand-up (A lesson taken at Massanutten WaterPark is also required before riding stand-up).

What is the temperature in Massanutten WaterPark?

Massanutten WaterPark's aquatic floor maintains the air temperature at 84 degrees with the water temperature between 80 - 82 degrees. Our transparent Texlon roof allows the UV rays in the building, so you may feel a slight difference in temperature throughout the day.

Are there lifeguards at Massanutten WaterPark?

Yes, Massanutten WaterPark has certified lifeguards working to provide you and your family a safe and fun environment.

Are lockers available at the WaterPark?

Yes, lockers are available in the indoor portion of the WaterPark for $30 rental fee for the day. Receive a $15 arcade card or $10 cash back when the key is returned. The locker size is 12" x 15" x 18".

Are changing rooms and showers available?

Yes, men's and women's changing and shower facilities are available. Family changing facilities are also available.

Are life vests permitted and available?

Life vests for small children are available. You may bring your own life vest if it is well fitting and U.S. Coast Guard approved.

What is proper swimming attire?

Massanutten WaterPark is a family destination requiring appropriate swimming attire for everyone. Please ensure there are no snaps, rivets or metal zippers to prevent injury and damage to the slide.

Is internet access available at the WaterPark?

Yes. Massanutten WaterPark offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the building.

Does Massanutten WaterPark offer Group and Party Packages?

Yes, we are currently accepting bookings for groups and parties. Groups & parties must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. View groups & parties info here.

Massanutten WaterPark’s Rules

  • Please obey the Lifeguards & Attendants at all times.
  • Management reserves the right to refuse admittance to or to suspend privileges of any persons failing to comply with any rules.
  • People under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed in the WaterPark.
  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who will directly supervise them during the entire visit.
  • Guests with children under the age of 5 must be within arm’s reach of the child at all times.
  • Additional rules are posted at each attraction.
  • People with infectious diseases, communicable diseases, or open sores are prohibited from using the WaterPark.
  • All guests are required to shower before entering the water.
  • All diaper-dependent guests must wear an approved swim diaper.
  • Proper swimwear is required. Exposed metal and loose strings are not permitted.
  • Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved floatation devices are permitted.
  • Lifejackets are provided at no additional charge on a first-come, first-served basis and must remain in the WaterPark.
  • No running, pushing, rough play, orshoulder ridingin the pool areas.
  • Lockers are available and we encourage their use. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damage property.
  • Please leave rafts, balls, chairs, and all toys in your car.
  • We may close during inclement weather.
  • The WaterPark maintains a Non-Smoking environment.
  • No outside food or drink is permitted.
  • There is video surveillance at this facility.
  • Massanutten WaterPark is an aquatic environment. Be prepared to get WET!
