Whether it’s updating or creating your “Destination ‘DO’ List”, planning the ‘best’ time to go or ideas of what to do. It may be simply getting inspiration some long weekends to travel. I get excited about any or all these & they are always on my ‘to do list’ and can be done anytime throughout the year.

In creating your vision board for travel inspiration, you can keep your travel dreams alive. A travel inspired vision board can also help you keep motivated when life’s hurdles get in your way. This is something I do especially for longer trips, but more & more I am using these for shorter trip. This article is all about how to create you vision board for travel inspiration, using our simple system & digital templates.

Like other visions boards, it is a collage of images (including visual elements), inspirational words and phrases that represent your travel wishes or goals. These are intended to serve as your inspiration and motivation for present or future trips. You can attach words, affirmations or quotes that relate to how each image or destination based on how they make you feel. How to create your Travel Vision Board

Step 1.

Create or update your destination ‘DO’ list for all your planned and dreamed travel. Always a great activity for the beginning of the year (or anytime a trip is in the beginning stages). This could be as simple as writing out or prioritising all your destinations, events and activities as shown in “Destination ‘DO’ list”.

For those of you looking to create your vision board for travel inspiration for a specific trip and destination. This step may just be a formality.

Step 2.

We have a download that provides you with some Canva templates designed for you to create your own Vision board for travel inspiration. Our templates range from a basic theme of adding images. To some more elaborate that contain, backgrounds, a variety of icons, inspirational words, affirmations and quotes, related to travel.

Additionally, we have a selection of romantic quotes and travel affirmations if you can’t find one from the temaplates that sings to you. Alternatively, you can use any of your own thoughts, words, affirmations or quotes that just call to you by adding those (typing over existing text) to your board.

Step 3.

Obtain some pictures that represent your destination, tours and activities. This can be done by searching for pictures that represent all you dream of doing. We obtain all our inspirations photos of places & activities from either Depositphotos or Canva.

Additionally, you can create a “Destination ‘DO’ list” board in Pinterest, which can provide great reference base for inspiration of you list.

Step 4.

Once you complete your travel vision board download from Canva as an image (PNG is recommended) & save to your laptop, desktop, or phone as your wallpaper.

For further inspiration once completed & downloaded you can either get it printed & laminated at your local printer or do this yourself.

Step 5.

Once finished these can be loaded to your laptop, desktop, phone as wallpaper or printed for a physical board.
