It’s redraft season, whether you’re ready for it or not, so that also means it’s time to start mock drafting again! As a dynasty player, I don’t tend to do a lot of redraft mock drafts, but I really think they do help for those particular leagues. You can use the FantasyPros Mock Draft Simulator to draft in your specific league with your specific settings, and it should greatly increase your chances of having a successful draft. And if your league has been around for a few years, you can even get insights into how your leaguemates draft and make your mock drafts more realistic!
For this particular mock draft, I opted for a PPR Superflex league with 2 RBs, 3 WRs, and 1 TE with no flex spots. In mock drafting, flex spots and bench spots are basically the same, especially when you add a Superflex spot. Therefore, my early bench spots can be seen as flex spots for leagues that have more flex slots in the lineups. Let’s jump in and see how my team comes out!

PPR Superflex Mock Draft: Early Draft Position
First Round Selection
1.03: Josh Allen (QB – BUF)
It’s not shocking to see Mahomes and Hurts go first and second in this Superflex mock draft. They are the consensus top two in most Superflex leagues. However, this leaves the stud RB Christian McCaffrey still available along with Allen. In Superflex, I like a starting QB in the early draft spots because it’s such a long time until my next pick, so as awesome as McCaffrey is, I’m going Allen here to anchor my QB position and start my draft right.
Second and Third-Round Turn
2.10: Nick Chubb (RB – CLE)
3.03: CeeDee Lamb (WR – DAL)
No surprise that CMC went at 1.04, but the players after that get a little different. This particular simulator seems to favor the RB position a little more than I do, so I might need to react here. Instead of going with a stud WR or a second QB, I decide to take Chubb here and grab those other positions on the way back next round. I just didn’t want to risk watching more RBs go since the first two picks started QB like I did.
A QB, an RB, and two WRs go on the turn, and I am staring down WRs Lamb and Davante Adams, either of which I’d be fine starting as my WR1. I think Lamb has the higher upside and more consistent QB play, so that helps break the tie. My team starts out with Allen, Chubb, and Lamb as my first three picks, and my team is feeling very well-rounded thus far.
Fourth through Seventh Picks
4.10: Jared Goff (QB – DET)
5.03: Keenan Allen (WR – LAC)
6.10: JK Dobbins (RB – BAL)
7.03: Dallas Goedert (TE – PHI)
I do like having a solid second QB in Superflex leagues, so I grabbed Goff at the 4.10. Might be a slight reach, given how the draft has gone, but I love his upside this year. On the way back in the fifth, I see Allen and RB Aaron Jones as the best available. This format requires three starting WRs, so I lean toward Allen here.
On the clock at 6.10, and I still need a TE. TJ Hockenson is available here and is very tempting, but the RBs seem to fall off of a cliff faster. I think Dobbins is a solid option here to shore up my second starting RB slot. Of course, Hockenson goes off the board immediately afterward, but Goedert is still there, so I select him instead.
Middle-Round Flex Candidates
8.10: Jahan Dotson (WR – WAS)
9.03: Isaih Pacheco (RB – KC)
10.10: Michael Thomas (WR – NO)
11.03: Khalil Herbert (RB – CHI)
12.10: Brock Purdy (QB – SF)
13.03: Dalton Schultz (TE – HOU)
In the eighth, I opt to take my third WR with Dotson. I think he’s in for a great year. Pacheco is another great value in these middle rounds, so he’s the easy option for me at 9.03 for an RB3. Taking Thomas at 10.10 feels awesome and scary, given his injury risk, but his upside cannot be ignored, and the simulator agrees, saying 52% of experts agree with the pick.
I grab Herbert in the 11th, Purdy in the 12th, and Schultz in the 13th to help me get through bye weeks and weather some potential injuries. I think Purdy starts the season and could see a good value bump when he does, and as a QB3, I can definitely do worse.
Late Round Fliers
- 14.10: Trey Lance (QB – SF)
- 15.03: Tyler Allgeier (RB – ATL)
- 16.10: KJ Osborn (WR – MIN)
- 17.03: Chuba Hubbard (RB – CAR)
- 18.10: Trey McBride (TE – ARI)
- 19.03: Darius Slayton (WR – NYG)
I opt to take Lance as my QB4, effectively shoring up the San Francisco QB position as my backup. I also took some RBs with upside in Allgeier and Hubbard and WRs in Osborn and Slayton. Grabbing a third TE isn’t something I usually do, but I really like McBride this year as he fights for targets with aging TE Zach Ertz.
Final Thoughts
Overall the simulator gave me a 94 out of 100 and a 2nd overall rank in this mock draft. I’m happy with that and love the balance I was able to achieve. If I can get this kind of team in a real league, I’ll be very happy. Go do some mock drafts yourself and start stretching those draft muscles!
